If you have any special needs or require any of the following services, please let our staff know so that we can help.
Our surgery has been specially designed to make it easier for disabled patients to visit. There are no steps at the entrance of the building giving patients easy wheelchair access if required. There are several dedicated disabled car parking spaces available immediately outside the front entrance of the surgery.
We have a wheelchair that is available to use at each surgery. You must use the wheelchair at your own risk. The wheelchair has a maximum carrying capacity of 100kg (16 stone) which must not be exceeded.
Personal mobility scooters are not permitted in the building for health and safety reasons. We ask that patients leave their personal mobility scooters at the front entrance.
Please note that receptionists are not able to transfer patients or push them in wheelchairs. If you require help then you will need to ensure that you have someone able to support you when visiting the practice.
We have two disabled toilets.
There is a loop induction system at the reception desk to assist the hearing impaired. We can also arrange for this facility to be used during your consultation, please let reception know you wish to do so on arrival.
For more information on the loop hearing system, please visit the Hearing Link website.
If you or family members are blind or partially sighted, we can give you a large print copy or a braille version of our practice leaflet upon request. Please ask reception for further information.
Guide dogs are welcome at the surgery but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs. Guide dogs remain the responsibility of their owner at all times when on the premises.
Translation Service – DA Languages
Please let us know if English is not your first language and if you would benefit from using an interpreter. We will make a note of this on your records. We can arrange for an interpreter to be provided through the DA Languages service in advance and your appointment need not be unduly delayed.
